Adult Learn to Sail

This course is designed for adults with little to no prior sailing experience who want to gain a basic understanding of sailing. Classes are taught in Bullseyes and H-12s and each boat will have an experienced instructor onboard along with one or two Learn-to-Sail participants.

The course meets once a week for six weeks. Each three-hour class includes a brief onshore (theory) portion and a longer on-the-water portion designed to allow participants the opportunity to apply and practice the basic skills of sailing. In case of inclement weather, there will be an onshore class on boating skills and safety.
