Adult Learn to Sail

This course is designed for adults with little to no prior sailing experience who want to gain a basic understanding of sailing. These classes will be taught in Bullseyes and H-12s. Each boat will have an experienced instructor onboard along with one or two Learn-to-Sail participants.

The course will meet once a week for six weeks. Each three-hour class will include a brief onshore (theory) portion and a longer on-the-water portion designed to allow participants the opportunity to apply and practice the basic skills of sailing. In case of inclement weather, there will be an onshore class on boating skills and safety.

Interested adults can sign up for the course here.

Session dates: Monday evenings from 1700 - 2000 hours; June 29, July 6, 13, 20, 27, and August 3. It is essential that you are able to attend all six sessions. You must be on time. Priority will be given to registrants who are able to be there for all six sessions and are BYC Members. Registration closes Wednesday, June 3rd, and space is limited.

Cost: $375 per person

Please note that space is limited. For more information, contact David Giblin at [email protected] or 508-847-5327.
