Clubhouse

The BYC Clubhouse is where friends gather and memories are made. We offer lunch and dinner service on our screened-in porch with a waterfront view during the summer months, and indoor dinner service during the fall, winter, and spring months. We also have a full bar available if you prefer to stop in for a drink.

Shoes and shirts must be worn on the porch and in the Clubhouse at all times. Gentlemen must remove their hats when seated in the restaurant or inside the Clubhouse.

Cell phone use is prohibited inside the Clubhouse, as well as on the porch. Members are requested to either turn off or set cell phones to non-audible alert when in these areas. Members and guests are prohibited from using a cell phone to take photographs of members, staff, or guests without the prior permission of the person(s) being photographed. Usage of a cell phone on silent mode for silent communication (i.e., texting and web surfing) is allowed.

Children under age 12 must be supervised by a parent/guardian while on Club property or the launch unless they are participating in a BYC staff supervised program. Please have children refrain from climbing on rack systems and the awning above the Junior Clubhouse, as well as climbing on the stone wall to ensure their safety.

Pets, with the exception of handicap service dogs, are not allowed in the Clubhouse at any time. Neither are they allowed in any area on BYC property where food is served. This includes all deck and porch areas. Pets on floats, launches, and in other open areas on club property (launching areas, boat storage, etc.) must be properly leashed or in a carrier and may only be on property for passing through to and from boats whether on or off season. Pet clean-up is the responsibility of the person handling the animal.

During the summer club season, Morning Colors at 0800 and Evening Colors at sunset are observed daily with a cannon salute (except Sunday) and the appropriate raising or lowering of the flag.

During this brief ceremony please stand respectfully facing the flagpole, remain quiet and place your right hand over your heart with fingers together. Military members and veterans are encouraged to render the military salute. The ceremony concludes when the officiant states, “Carry on."
